Searchlight Car 3650

[T-Man]

My service manual came up short on how to connect the searchlight to the reel. Any ideas?

The reel has a metal bar for spinning and each side is isolated. A contact comes up from the frame(inside) and touches the bar. I used an ohm meter and there is no connection from the bar. Two screws are on one side but the are isolated and the reel doesn't come apart.

OK I figured it out. Each bar on the ends are contacts. There is a hole for the wire to feed in and the spring tension holds the wire. It opens when you press it.
