How come you get to have an avatar Tworail but the rest of us do not? http://www.contour.org/ceg-vb/images/smilies/ubb/tongue.gif

Does it have something to do with the hierarchy or something? I am really jealous right now ;)

I was wondering why no one else had one, LOL... Did you try uploading and it failed? I will for sure turn them on if that is the case.

I do not even see an option to upload one... Like the little bubble "Do not use an avatar" is selected and there is no way to unselect it... Hitting "Reset Fields" does not do anything either... This is what I see when I go into the "Edit Avatar" menu...

My new avatar is the epoxy molecule.
Here is a link (http://pslc.ws/macrog/epoxy.htm) with a good simple explanation.

The epoxy molecule.

OMG ... too funny, T-Man. For the man who has changed avatars a few times, you'd better watch out with this one ... it just might STICK!

When I hit 3000 posts, Komodo was kind enough to make me a new avatar to celebrate it. However, I'm now crowding 3500...claiming 3000 is sort of like a politician claiming to be the strong, silent type. I think it's time to revert to my old AV, again (as soon as I can find it!). Komodo, thank you again for the AV!

Go ahead Reckers, tell them the truth. Explain to them how the "Box" is to big for "S"( being more to scale, they fit in a smaller, flatter box), and that it was some Lionels that some wayward soul had left on your door-step in hopes that Santa would bring him some, "Real Trains"

Better that here on the forum, rather than one of us with our big bellies shaking around!

The size was 80 pixels across or 19.5 in Kilo bites. The smaller of the two. It may even resize it to fit. Trial and error works best.

That is me on the porta-potty...since I was having trouble finding my original logo, I thought you guys would appreciate it! Teej, that was one mighty fine caboose av you came up with! Ed, I'm done with the porta-potty for now...you'll find I left you a big O gauge in the basin! And Greg, I believe you were right---it reeked of Lionel! C'mon, Jim....let's leave these folks to do their business, since I've finished mine. *L*

Okay guys lets get back to avatars. Below is mine and I've used it on other forums. It's a reduced copy of a painting by Magritte. You see the outline of a bird, but the bottom line is that it's really clouds, or is it? What attracted me to this is that in life little is at it seems. I could say more about it but my wife has hidden my pulpit, let's all bless her. Merry Christmas one and all. :)

PS The one you showed TJ, ... I just hope it's on a thread mill.

Hi Russell, :)

I like your avatar. It's a thought provoking image because the sky is portrayed as being in the bird. My avatar is more mundane and changes frequently, as it's usually the latest railroad acquisition. ;)

I like Choo Choo, (it's friendly, light, and joyful), as a name and locomotive photos are always good. Cheers

I think I might be simple but I'm confused, why is there an angry face for this thread?

It was tied into the question raised in the original post, back in 2008 ... why (back then) avatars were only available to the Administrator. Fixed now. :)
