We have about a foot of snow in Toronto and we never usually get this much.. Seems to be snowing / storming every 2 days!!

Sucks.. no biking, no driving the sports car, can't even set up my trains outside..

Ah well thought I would vent a bit.

Anyone fortunate enough to live in a more forgiving climate? It's bugging me so much I have thought about moving south for the winters!!

I LOVE THE SNOW!!! :appl:

Move south? Pfft :smilie_daumenneg:

We are getting the same storm... Apparently only morning classes are canceled at my college, oh... I do not feel like snowblowing my huge driveway when it is raining out :(

I like it too.. but the novelty of slugging through it every day to get to work, and waiting for transit and the mess... Working from home on snowy days would be sooooooo much better.

In NH I'm sure it's nicer. I have a cousin who moved down there years ago and never left cause the snowboarding and mountain biking was so good.

I am going crazy... I drove 30 miles to get to my college dodging massive standing water everywhere to find out that my college decided to cancel evening classes while I was en route :rippedhand:

Ouch. Not many ways around that one.

What kind of vehicle are you driving to get around in the crappy weather?

Ford Contour :D

And it is no fun because the wires coming out of my VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) must be frayed so they short out when water gets up to them... Nothing better than going 0MPH on the highway :ohwell:

I need to fix that when the weather gets better, LOL...

Nice.. friend of mine had a Contour SVT in high school, it was awesome.

You had better get your car checked out!

I want one so bad, LOL... My Zetec gets me around though, 130HP/torque is not that bad since it is a light car... I hope you are not driving your Miata around in the snow, hahaha...

Sometimes I want to move further north, like to Yellowknife or something... Shoveling rain is just plain wrong :(

If I moved up there I could see all the ice-road truckers too :D

Nah, the Miata is currently in a heated underground garage, where it belongs. Painful, waiting for all this snow to go away, and it's only mid-Feb.

I love the snow now that I don't have to deal with it too much. Where I grew up it was snow, snow, snow all winter long. Day in and day out. You just got used to it or went nuts.
Where I live now it will snow like hell one day and be above freezing the next. The last time that snow realy screwd me up was during final exams back in 1989. I had to take a bus to school which was an hour trip without the snow.

I figured I should leave early to catch the public bus to make sure I was there on time. At one of my transfers the next bus was dalayed by over an hour because of the weather and there was no shelter. I stood there waiting and slowly turning into a popcicle for about 2 hours thinking I was going to die. There was no one else outside anywhere and I should have known better, but I waited and waited only to get to my CANCELED final exam late and was ready to kill.:eek::eek:
I ended up staying there till I found a ride home from someone with a car.

I moved to Florida shortly artef that. :D

It is snowing here again, yay!

I have to think the funniest part is watching people trying to drive in the snow, some are not too good at it :lol_hitting:

After 10 years of the rain in SF I said "This is soo :supergay:." I packed my stuff and moved to Boulder. The cost of living there was :supergay: so I moved to Denver and live with a couple of :supergay: old dudes. LOL

Another storm is rolling through... Southern New Hampshire is the most annoying place to live! ANOTHER storm is changing over to rain again because it moved too far north... They are lucky and will be getting at least a foot of the white stuff http://www.fordforums.com/images/smilies/11zpissed.gif

I am soo sick of the winter weather. Here it keeps warming up and then getting cold with a little snow thrown in.

It is depresing also, and I have been very depressed lately. My mom deid last week and if it were not for having my train to work on I don't know what I would do. :(
