still train pics from movies

I have several DVD movies that have scenes with trains in them and am trying to figure out how to capture still pics of cool train scenes to use as wallpapers for my computer.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Hmm, not sure but I'm sure there are tons of screen grab solutions out there. Are these motion or standstill shots?

They are motion shots that show up as a black screen when I try to save them. I have followed the advice I found on Google and tried Windows Media Player and Power DVD and some new program that I can not remember the name of.

Hmm, I have never played a DVD on my computer, but can you hit "ctrl + prt scr" to take a screen shot, then put it in paint and save it as a JPG?
