Well actually, I have a ton of things I could do but I am sick and feel just plain lazy.
I don't even feel like eating.
I am sure I will end up playing around with my new layout.
What is everyone else up to?

Sitting in front of the computer watching the Red Sox's Grapefruit League game agaist the Twins... Of course they are winning, 3-0...
Besides that I am perousing a couple forums and looking at e-Bay auctions...

Cleaning up my latest aquisition, a '96 Harley train set. The pilot is dinged and the 'boose has a missing rail (since replaced) but not too shabby for $15.

There are 4 boxcars that are painted for each model bike they offer, one on each side.

Great set.. you always seem to find the deals!!
Are you going to run it or for display only?

Very nice set.
That is where I grew up and I just woke from a dream that I was there riding a hog.

Thanks guys...like all my trains, they'll get run. The dinged pilot on the F unit only gives me reason to tweek a bit. I'll be looking for a pilot to graft on, especially one with a plow as I think it would give it a more snarly look:rolleyes::D Other than that, they're pristine and rather stark, too, being nearly all black.

Are these the 'Franklin Mint' models that you would see in Model Railroader - any idea who the manufacturer is?

They are Franklin Mint. It appears they are a combination of old Cox, Mantua and Bachmann molds on relatively new frames and drives. The engine is 8 wheel drive w/ no flywheels. The railing for the caboose came off of a Cox model and was a drop in fit. It's a great looking set with the only real flaw being the loco's pilot. There was minor damage to the loco's shell from sitting in the sun but the paint is fine, just a bit of warp that was easily straightened out. I know it sounds like a lot but it really is a nice set.
