One day after President Obama talked about high speed railways across the country, now Kentucky may be in line to get high-speed passenger rail service.
Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear has announced a $250,000 grant that the Federal Railroad Administration is receiving to study such a service in Louisville.
The rail would operate from Chicago through Louisville and Nashville and end in Atlanta.
It was Thursday in Florida that President Barack Obama announced an $8 billion plan to develop high speed railways across the country.
