I am getting my bike out of storage :D

Yep, because last week Mr. Cardiocascular System said to me, "hey n00b, you better get off your arse and give me a workout before I make you pay"...

Think I can get myself to go for a ride at least every other day? I think after I get the habit going it will stick

Maybe at the end of the summer when I will have some endurance :p

Good for you.
I need to do the same even though I walk alot. What I really need to do it go hiking in the mountains.

I hope you don't make like a frog and croak on us. ;)

Yea, I eat fast food about six times per week... I did a project in my nutrition class, and even with all the fast food my calorie intake was good (averaged 2700 calories) and the breakdown of fat, carbs, and protein was perfect... I think it may have to do with all the salt I was consuming, nearly 6,000mg per day

But I guess it is time to change my diet and get as much low-sodium crap that I can... I figured my body was handling the junk okay since it was not showing up in my gut (5' 8", 140lbs), but I guess I was wrong :o

Hopefully that with some exercise will help clean out my arteries and veins...

Stay away from fast food. It is crap anyway.
No barf smiley, bummer.
I saw a movie a couple years back where some guy ate nothing but super sized fast food and that was gross.
I am not a health nut. I just avoid that crud.

Supersize Me with Morgan Spurlock? I hated that movie, it made McDonald's get rid of their Supersized fries

As far as fast food goes, McDonald's and Burger King are permenatly off my list now... I might still go to Wendy's sometimes though as it is not that bad since they do not have any trans fat in their cooking oils...

LOL, yes that was the movie. McDonalds does have a good salad.
I had Wendy's tonight. Not a burger though. No one makes a burger as good as mine. :D

We are prbably going way off topic here, but this is a cool site and I hope we don't get punished for it.

That happened to me at a different site when I brought up food. Speaking of wich, someone got food all over this keyboard and I am going to ***** someone out.

This really is not a problem, nor will it ever be... until it gets political / religious (at which point I will get my girlfriend to post for me ;) ) anything is fair game.

That is good to know that you do not mind, I hate forums that are overly strict... Nothing hurts more than when a mod pulls out their whip on you http://www.fordforums.com/images/smilies/whip.gif

The reality is that sometimes there is more to talk about, or more we want to talk about than trains, which I think will create a well rounded atmosphere around here.

Most definatly... IMO that is what keeps a forum together and brings people back on a regular basis...

Back to the topic though, it is raining out and I still have not even cleaned off my bike, never mind ride it :ohwell:

The weekend should be nice, because I have a big chunk of school work that needs to be done for tomorrow, then I will be free! For a short while at least

I used to post in a very strict forum and got booted for a week because I started a thread about food.
I was think about making a train out of pasta and was looking for advice. It turned out to be a bad idea anyway. At the time I thought it would be cool. Than I tried it. Waste of good pasta. :(

I was going to use it as a conversation piece for a dinner party which I never had anyway.

Back to my original topic, I went for my second bike ride of the season today... Now I am up to the point I was at last year, LOL... I wanted to go off roading so I rode a little ways down the old B&M roadbed... I took it slower this time and my pulse was not up to 160ish like it was like after the first ride... Dying from sudden cardiac arrest is not my goal here :)

I rode a bike the other day and thought I was going to die. I did not even go up or down a hill. I only rode about 1/4 mile. :o
