How about an autographed picture with you holding the best S gauge steamer you got?
With a big smile like it's a new born baby.:D
Make more then one as you have more then one fan.
Edit.........,
Yes you can send of of your misses if you want. But she has to be wearing bib overalls with a engineers cap.
Kneeling down playing with your S trains:laugh:

*grins*...that ain't gonna happen! I don't mind sending the pic, but getting her to kneel down and play with the trains is the hard part! Besides, how could I ever choose? I think it would be tie between the steamer you sent me and the one Jim sent me. Those two aren't just pretty---they pull a lot of emotional baggage, as well!

Tell me moderator,
What do the extra "mod" symbols by the exclamation point do?
The ones I don't have.
The computer and red & yellow thing?
gunrunnerjohn

The red & yellow thing is to give infractions.
The computer screen is a feature to allow you to show what your computer specifications are if you like, or at least that's what it does in the computer forums I moderate.

Ed --
The first button lets us Mods deposit your 401k savings directly into our personal accounts. The second lets us charge our Domino's Pizza orders directly to your MasterCard. The third zaps the electronic collar on that German Shepard down the street from your house, causing him to pee on your front lawn. And the 4th ... well ... that's our extra-special secret Ed goodie! :D
(Real symbols are: online/offline; add infraction; report post; computer I.P. address ... Big Brother is watching you!)
Cheers,
TJ

Speaking of babbling TJ perhaps your work with boats of the wood kind can be of help. I have a large square plywood piece about 2 1/2 feet and it is warped pretty badly from Lowes and some rain so I was wondering what you would recomend to correct this and get it flat once again.

Ah, the joys of Chinese plywood. It's junk, it doesn't even burn well cut up in small pieces and thrown into a outdoor fire pit.
Today if you need lumber of any type it's best to go to a real lumber yard, if you can find one, and pay the price for good stuff. Make no mistake you will pay dearly for the 'good stuff' too.

Congratulations, Ed! All quality posts, I might add!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Now....how about some more S scale stuff from you?:D
Teej, sometimes "Wordy" is the essence of contributing. A site needs Mods and we respect the grace with which you perform the task. Contributing often has been your hallmark, and the content is always supportive or valuable. Thanks for the fine job you do!

Reck -- Thanks :o ... I'll post the check in the mail ... :D
GC -- If ply is significantly warped, it might be cheaper to get a new sheet. I assume it is interior-rated ply? I.e., not exterior-rated with waterproof glue?
If you really want to try to straighten it, wet the concave side, flip it convex-side-up, support it at the ends, put a weight in the middle of the convex bow, and let it sit for a while in the sun. The water will swell/expand the concave side, and the weight will deflect it back into shape. Sort of. Fuzzy science. Results will be far from perfect, but improved.

How many infractions do I have?
If you do happen to get an infraction do you get notified?
Do you win something for the most infractions?:D
gunrunnerjohn
08-15-2011, 07:09 PM
It's standard for anyone receiving an infraction to get a notification, though you can configure vB to not do that. I've never seen it configured that way, the whole point of the infraction is a warning to the person you give it to.
