So yesterday was the annual awards ceremony at my college... No, I did not receive something big like the President's award, but I did win the "Outstanding Freshman Accountant" award :D
I did not get anything really special (most of the departments got plaques), I guess the business department is cheap at my college, LOL... I got a certificate and a $25.00 gift card to Staples, something extra my department head threw in...
This is a good award though since accounting is my major, and of couse it is something I can put on my resume
On the note of accounting, I think I am going to tutor next year... I do not know how good I will be at it since people are not my thing, but my department head wants me to try it out so I will... Plus tutoring is free for those seeking it and us giving it get paid $9.50 per hour ;)
EDIT: Do you know what is funny? I have told you guys this but I have not told anyone in my family and I probably will not, LOL...

When we get older, we choose our "families". However, I'll warn you. There may come a time, in 25 to 30 years, when you start reaching out to them again. You may regret the wall's you've built then.
Oh... and a $25 gift card beats the heck out of a palque!
Best!

I do not know, I doubt that I will... I am not the "OMG my parents sux like the fo shizzle" kind of teenager... I know that it is not particularly good, but I just am not that "loving" due to my childhood... In addition to that my family is very messed up, I feel that I am "scared" away from them... It will just be me and my wife (if I can find one, LOL ;)), the only person who I will probably ever truely love...

I would rather have the plaque... I will give you the $25 gift card if you go out, get one made, and then ship it to me :D

Dude, I was just like you. I'm not really old, but I'm older than most people here. Most of my family are gone now. I'm divorced and basically alone. This is the best advice you'll ever get. GET OVER IT! Any fool can make mountains out of mole hills... it takes real talent to make a mole hill out of a mountain.

You want to get married? Do you know the difference between love and sex disguised as love? If you don't love you family, It's not likely that you do, And you ain't gonna figure that one out until you're in a bad situation that'll be costly to get out of.
What about your kids? You want them to be like you are, just because you wouldn't try to put the past in the past and move forward?
Josh... you're a family man. What do you say?

Yes, I want to get married someday... The odds of me finding the "right woman" in this world is probably low though because I have many criteria... I am not the best looking guy either, and sadly it seems that is all women want these days... Also I believe in abstinance so I will never be in that situation, I have my lines drawn and will go past them for no one...
I never said I wanted to have kids either, LOL... Anyways, I think this conversation about my life should end soon before I spill everything on a public forum ;)

Well I decided to tutor after all... It is not as bad as I thought it would be, now that I have become accustomed to it
