I had to mow my lawn for the first time today... I still remember when I was younger and begged to do this job, oh the blindness of youth ;)
Anyways, I was mowing past the side of my car when I made a turn and heard a nice scrape... I forgot to cover the edge of the handle with my hand, so I left a nice 1/2 foot scrape of black on my car
Luckily the paint on my car was more durable, and I did not suffer any paint loss... After I screwed my head back on I got out some rubbing compound and removed it... Now you can barely tell that there was ever anything there :)

It's stories like this that makes me happy I moved from Seattle to the desert :D There's not much benefit to living in the desert, but last year I borrowed my neighbor's riding mower to knock down the weeds once.
When I lived outside of Seattle if I didn't mow twice a week it was time to break out the scythe!

Shoot, I barely have any free time and what I do have, I sure don't want to spend out in the yard sweating, and on top of it all... I have a bad back (two herniated discs in my lower back), so that kinds work would lay me up for a couple days, probably.
I pay a guy $25 a pop to do the front and back yard, he'll trim my hedges and stuff, he just trimmed my big trees for $200. I got a quote from three different companies to do that- HOLY CRAP !!! They were between $800 and $1200  !!!! And he did a great job...
Sorry.... yard work ain't my cup o'tea!!!

I would never notice another scratch on the car. I use a Honda lawn Tractor for the lawn.It removes snow in the winter. I would notice a scratch on the Tractor though!
