I saw this HO scale model train related goods on eBay, they sound like quality items I am just not sure what value to place on them. Can I possibly get some feedback, here are the links.

Sorry hijk439, let me be more specific. I was looking to see if anyone knew any values of these HO scale goods on eBay. There is a lot of 20 Athearn detailed model trains that are being sold, could you gage a price?

Thanks

Please ignore him and check out the "Urgent, Please Read" thread in the Union Station section... He is a spammer, most likely a "bot"...

Back to your question though Zimram, I myself am unsure of how much that stuff is worth... If it was O scale I would be able to help you though, but I do not know much about HO scale, sorry...

Thanks.

Tortoise machines usually retail at $12-15 each.

Athearn rolling stock is about $7-10 per piece depending on what it is.

For the reversing circuit, not sure, but $20-30 sounds right.

The mixed bag at the end would be a good deal for $20 or so. My NMRA standards gauge costs $20 new, so that would be a good deal.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input. What you stated is quite similar to other sources as well.

Another way to price ebay items is to look at what they went for by searching closed auctions. That lets you gauge the market price rather than the manufacturer's list price.

Use Ebay Itself to find what they sold for in the past. I have simple directions on my site (http://lioneltrainauctions.com/What-is-the-value-of-Lionel-Model-Trains) Basically you use the advanced search function. You can get pretty complex if you want with your searches. Also Terapeak (http://www.terapeak.com/ebay_research/index2.php) is probably the best thing after eBay to find out what value of model trains are.
Hope that helps

PS: My site looks like s*** because I put it up to try and recoup my cost of building a train for my grand children but for awhile I thought ebay banned that so I stopped building.
Ebay has clarified the new rules so I will be building again. My point is it dosnt look that great now but it works
