I took the family out to Castle in the Clouds today and just got back. I got train Pics . Wolfoboro has a small train museum ,The Klickety Klack Railroad Hobby Shop and Attraction. The owner even ket me take some night shots with the lights. On RTE 109 I got pictures of a backyard layout. It's A little bigger than G scale, no engine was visible though. Then we saw Fernald station just north of Wolfboro. The old Wolfboro RR ran up to it, back in the eighties. Overall a good trip and the heat wasn't bad till mid afternoon.

That was a good idea to go up north... I went to the Castle in the Coulds a few years ago, it was cool (hahaha, pun :o)...
Anyways, if we have one more day of this I am going to go crazy... The temperature is only supposed to be in the 80's for the rest of the week... The AC is on in my house and it is still 80 degrees in here
The heat just kills me for some reason... I can not even take pictures of some stuff I want to try and sell, like that 2026 shell, LOL...

You guys are wimps! ;) I spent the last week in the southern part of New Mexico:

Would've been much better if I didn't have to keep getting out of the car to inspect properties. Fortunately home, at 8,000 feet, is about 20 degrees cooler.

I do like our dry desert for that, at least you can step into the shade and drop the temperature by 20 degrees. I'll be in Austin next week, hopefully it will cool down a bit by then.

Those temperatures are nuts... I am positive that even if I was born down in Texas I would still not be able to take the heat, LOL :D

...and it ain't even hot yet  !!! July, August and September are killers. You don't even want to go outside for anything. Sucks if ya gotta work in it; I've done my share of that.
I remember way too many X-Masses (?!) being in shorts and a tank top...
I guess you really never get too used to it cuz anyway ya slice it... it's freakin' HOT!!! Ya just learn to live with it and laugh at and the less fortunate up North who can't go riding all year... or the beaches... or the lakes... :p:laugh::D

We have our annual polar bear plunges into the Atlantic Ocean, and once the lakes freeze over there is ice skating :)

Well, I've lived in Houston for about 30 years but I grew up as a kid in St.Louis, MO. I do miss snow occasionally but remember that after a few weeks of it... you're ready for it to go. It sure was fun to drive in!!! And, yeah, I did the frozen lake and creek thing, too. Good fun till ya bump your head!!!!
But, uhh... I'll pass on the polar bear thing
