View Full Version : How do you delete one of your own posts?
How do you delete one of your own posts? I have one I'd like to get rid of, and I clicked on the "Edit" button, but did not see an option for deletion.
Apologies if this information is already posted and I missed it.

I think only a moderator can delete posts.

You used to be able to delete a post I guess they took it away.
You used to be able to edit posts months later but they took that away too after someone went back and deleted a bunch of his posts.
It looks like you have to contact the "super mod" unless the other mods can do it.

Every moderator has the power to do it. Also, it was a unanimous decision between the five of us that taking these powers away would be for the good of the forum. You can still edit for up to a day after you make a post.

I think editing for a bit longer, say 24 hours would be nice, but I agree that only mods should be able to delete posts.
Ok, fair enough. I thought I was just missing something. Thanks for the info!

Gents,
PM limit is now up to 100 (from 50).
If anyone ever needs a post editted (for logical reasons) after the 24 hour timeclock, just ask a mod ... we'd be happy to help, if appropriate.
Cheers,
TJ
