I picked up a Model Power (That's what's on the box) 4-6-0 with a powered tender. The loco wheels are free-wheeling.

The motor appears to be one of those cheapie can motors (the ones you can't replace brushes on) with a worm gear on each side.

Anyone know of a better motor upgrade for this loco?

Thanks

Rob

In Ho there is such a wide gap of quality. If you are not happy with the motor maybe you should look for better quality and easy enough to get parts. You could contact the manufacturer. I like the Mantua old steamers and I can get any part from yardbird trains. He has motors, but they may not fit your needs.

Thanks for the info! The engine I'm talking about is one I picked up off the 'bay.
