I was thinking of making a tread to show your cameras....

I got a new one...(my first one..hehe) It's a Pentax optio E50. I bought it for $134. With a one year warantee.

I couldn't find a picture of my camera on the internet in this colour..

I have a Pentax Optio, but I can not remember the specific model number and I am too lazy to go look... It is just plain silver though...

For half a second I thought... how the heck can I take a picture of my camera!?

Then I realized, I jumped to conclusions.
(However, I will not take the time to align mirrors to get a picture of the back  )

I bought it used about a 1 or 2(?) years ago. I think I paid about $60 for it.
Its worked out great so far (I just wish I was a little better of a photographer).

I'm taking the Canon A710is from the girlfriend... it does great things (the macro is awesome) but isn't as flashy as this red camera with the maple leaf on it !! just plain grey on grey.

Ps... i bought it some years ago for her, so I get to use it from time to time... cause I,m still in 35mm !!!

I am using the A590 for pictures with good success. I shoot a lot of macro with no flash.
To reduce the pictures for this forum, I use paint and IMAGE SKEW from 18 to 20, will downsize the picture to less than 600 pixels.
I just did a movie for my Lionel 248. It's under the O scale tinplate thread. It worked great with 2 gig SD memory card I can shoot 20 minutes of video or 650 pictures plus.
I used widow movie maker and spliced about 6 scenes together uing a fade transition. It was my first try so editting was minimized. It wasn't easy operating the train and running the camera too!.LOL
The lithium batteries are pricy but last to my satisfaction. The movie etting does eat up juice. I'm thinking of getting a power adapter for when I do more.
I like using AA batteries instead of flat weird ones. The camera is larger but you can get aa anywhere.:)

My camera uses 2 AA batts and I have 2 512mb sd cards....so I can get about 10 minutes each and almost 300 shots. I like the close up feature but I have to learn how to use it right with proper lighting...

I am using a Canon A640, love it. The macro, the fine tune setting, the picture quality. The camera takes 4AA batteries, came with a 32MB card. I use a 512MB. It also takes small movies, decent quality. This camera has it all. Its advanced enough for the amature photographer but not as advanced as SLR.
