What radius are these turnouts? Why do they list them like this rather then useing the radius?

The #4s are 18" radius, the #6s I believe are 20". The numbers come from the number of units from the point of the frog to the place where the rails are that unit wide. >>> http://www.loystoys.com/peco/about-turnouts.html
