I search for old threads and I think this is my problem.
So How is it defined in terms of time and how do I search it?

T-Man,
I'm not sure I understand your question. ???
Do you mean "archive" ? (You wrote "achive" ... )
What, specifically, are you trying to do/ask???

John I went to Quick links to see whose online and it shows members viewing Archives?
I guess they are old theads but I have never heard of them defined. A lot of my word searches don't work even if I name an old thread I made. I have to go to my profile and drum up past threads.
It may be a change to the forum.

He wants a chive....it's a lil green onion-looking thing. Great on baked potatoes.

T-Man,
Uhh ...
"Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before."
You're exploring strange new worlds ... I've certainly never gone there ...
Let us know what goodies / helpful tips and tools you find!!!
Cheers,

Sounds like just old threads. I did the same thing, then linked to the thread that the Guest was viewing, it's just one of the forum threads.

OK How old? the cut off date? Does it change every day?
I would like a search feature for Archives if the present one doesn't do it.
See what I mean?

I don't think such a search exists.

Hold on here ...
Are you saying that a Search does NOT hunt in very old threads??? That's news to me, if that's true!

No, I'm saying that an "Archive" search doesn't exist, the search searches all threads.

OK, John ... I see what you're saying.
But if that's the case, then what exactly is T-Man trying to do that he can't do with the Search tool that we already have ???
???

I don't know why he can't, I find old threads.

I have had zilch results in some searches. I am trying to blame the Archive file for hiding it. If I get a date when it starts I know what the limit is.
Just my theory.

What's a search that you failed on, and are you sure there is a thread that would cover it?

I just don't have faith in the search. It can be my fault. This has be going on all along. I just wanted more information on the Archive thing, I have never seen it before on the member activity.
Thanks for the concern but I can't remember the exact search, it usually has to do with a newbie question.

I followed up on the "Archive" comment, and as far as I can see, it just refers to a thread of a certain age. I'm sure the admins could tell us exactly. :)
