So, does anyone on here do stuff other than model small scale railroads? My Summer hobby is Radio controlled cars. This is my Nitro Stampede, runs on Nitro (hence the name)

Then, the newest addition to make a family, my Slash (its electronics are waterproof so I can run even in the rain.)

Here's a short video of running in the rain:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQU-btlQFTw

That is really cool... I never got into professional remote controlled cars; all I ever had were the Nikko ones you could buy at Toys R Us... My other hobbies are driving (yes, I consider it a hobby), mountain biking (more like dirt-path biking, LOL), and most of all gaming on my Xbox 360...

I am not sure if these are hobbys but I took up flying small plains before I came to my sences and realizsed that is for rich men. Boating it the summer. It is a hobby becouse of the amount of time I spend working on the dame thing. And last 4wheelin in my GMC truck.

Yeah, the Slash sees most of my time now, since the Stampede's fuel costs about $40 a gallon (not misspelled).

I'll try and find some pics of my truggy at the track.. got into it real hardcore this year, and already on my second engine. First day at the track I destroyed the stock one, radio antenna got munched the car went crazy and I broke the connecting rod... bad news.

I finally just got an xbox 360 and have been playing Fallout 3 for the last week :)

Grr, I should know who makes that truggy; but I just can't put my finger on it!

I'm really a pure Traxxas guy, so I don't know all that much about truggies (Although the Backslashes do look quite a lot like one)

Those are some cool pic. I did a little gas powered RC car stuff. Never like that though.

I prefer my model cars a little bigger. I've never been very good at steering a car that's coming toward me! Here's my stable at the moment:

I'd love to make a trip like that, and the Thunderbird is a great cruiser. It's not real fast off the line, but will cruise at 80 all day. Unfortunately, I don't think my wife would appreciate me taking off an leaving her with both sets of twins, and we can't all fit in that car!

Well, that's why you've got the Toyota back there! Just wait until one set can drive, and come up here to NH!

maybe you missed the TWO sets of twins part! ;) There are four bucket seats, so one set can come with us, but not both. Which pair stays home alone . . . .

The trunk opens backward to accept the top, so with the top down, there's no trunk to speak of.

Those are some nice cars.. both big & small! :)
Speaking of RC... I've always wanted a rc helicopter... a nice one.. but
its out of the budget.

My primary other hobby is guitar amps.
I've built, modified, and fixed them. I'm a hobbiest guitar player, but unlike
most guitar players my passion is amps, not guitars. My winter project (this
winter) is to fix up a 1964 Gibson ga19rvt. electrically, there are a few issues, and
I'm going to build it a new cabinet & get a new speaker. Hopefully it'll work out.

Here it is before... If I remeber, I'll post an 'after' picture once its done.

Ya I did miss the two part. Sorry about that. Just want 16 years and let them take the car.:). I have worked on a few of those top/trunk systems. I love to watch the way they work.

Thanks for the kind words. It's Windows Movie Maker, pretty easy to use. My only recommendation would be to defrag your drive after every use.

Man I love RC i have over 30, including cars, trucks, and even a couple airplanes.
I'm more into the scale stuff, but have built a few land rockets.

Those are the most serious cranes I have seen in my life.. haven't even seen prototypes like that!!

Great stuff.

Are they plastic, metal? Made from kits?

I noticed that they are all portable. Have you seen shipyard cranes? Stiff leg derricks? You must go crazy over the unloaders at Long Beach that grab an 18 wheeler box.

Great collection.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

My neighbors noisy hobby.

Over here, all we have is Hobbytown; there used to be a really good train store around here, but the owner sold it and the building became a bank.

Yes, Soundtraxx took my decoder back under warranty. I am waiting for it to come back.

Was that Mountain Trains and Hobbies on Lawrence Street in Manchester? I purchased most of my small O scale collection there...

No, I don't think so, I haven't been to Manch in a while. It was called "Trains on Tracks" here in Amherst. I got started in G there (only local dealer of LGB) and then suddenly they were gone. :(
