What problems would I have setting up trains in a very large empty basement thanks

Is the basement finished at all? I assume that it at least has a cement floor... If it is not finished there will probably be a lot of dust down there, between the cement dust and any debris falling down though the floorboards above... You may also have a problem with moisture depending where you live and whether or not the basement is temperature controlled...

The basement is not finished off . It has a cement floor and heating ducts into the baseemet. I live in the applachian mountains on the southwest
t border of virginia / west virginia I wanted to put o gauge/ g gauge down there20' by 30 ' alot of room but if it is going to cause problems I won't

I'd worry about moisture too. High humidity and electronicsusually don't mix.
