What?!? I don't talk too much. Why do you guys think I talk too much. I don't think I talk too much. Maybe just a little. But most times I really try to formulate my posts in a concise way. But maybe you think that I'm talking too much. I really try not too talk too much. Maybe I'll try to talk less. A little less. I'll start with this post here. There ... I'm not talking very much now, am I. I think I'm talking less. Right? I think so ... much less talk from TJ. Good. So there. I'm talking less now ...
:D:laugh::D
(The problem is, it's so much fun chating with you guys and seeing all of the fun projects/tips you have up your sleeves!)

Just out of curiosity......is there a "number of postings" break-point that lets me graduate to something more than Gan Labourer? :) (I always aspire to be middle-management wherever possible!)
Ok....ignore this.....!
I just found the thread titled "User Levels Explained". Another reason my dad always said that I let my alligator mouth overrun my hummingbird butt! (His way of saying I too often speak before thinking)

Truthfully, I don't care either, I just posted in this thread because it was amusing.
I used to post in several computer forums for years, I passed 100K in one and 50K in the other. People were in awe of that many posts, but I never really thought about it, just answering questions and doing moderation stuff seems to run the post count up. :)
BTW Ed, here's another post. :p:p:p

I'd like to know too, because it was more than just some kind of forum error. The domain name of this place was non-existent as far as I could tell.

They let the Domain Name expire and there was some issues getting it established again.

Did it expire John? Good thing no one came in and grabbed the name for hostage, like that site you guys use for the Lionel Parts. It sort of seemed like an input error on the domain address or something along those lines. When you looked up the domain #(think that is the right word) it linked to a RC hobby site.
gunrunnerjohn
01-12-2012, 08:25 AM
Yep, do a lookup on modeltrainforum.com, you'll see the name expired on the 10th. Does that timing look familiar? ;)
The other hobby site is on the same server farm, which is why you were directed to that one.

TJI note they only renewed the domain name for one year, that's probably a bit short-sighted. ;)

All our domains are on auto-renewal. What happened was that 123-reg, our ISP did make a mistake and did not pay Tucows that provides .com services to it (we had already paid) and Tucows stopped providing services. Human error, very annoying and outside our control.

I think I'd pay the domain name provider directly as I do. :)
