In search of O/O27 adapter track

I've heard about a piece of track that is used to connect Lionel O track to O-27 track, essentially the piece of track is a half-half hybrid. Unfortunately I have a mix of both types of track, and while I would prefer to just use the O gauge I hate to not use or waste the large amount of 0-27 track and switches that I have.

If anyone can point me in the right direction or has one they would be willing to sell please let me know.

Also, I realize I am a new member and have no credibility, so I would be happy to send my end first to established members if someone has one they'd like to sell.

One /eighth will get you even. Then crimp the small pins or jam the larger ones.

You may have been thinking about super O track made in the 50's and 60's.
They do use special adapter pins. Super O has many plastic ties and a thin center rail. Super O is rarer and more collectable. My brothers first set was super O.

What I was thinking of is a track that a guy showed me last weekend at a show. He must have sensed my newbyness so he was explaining the difference between O and O27, then said if I have both then I'll need this special track he had which had the smaller pins on one side and the regular pins on the other. I didn't look too close to see how it accounted for the difference in height. It was a big show, I had just gotten there and had two very overwhelmed kids with me so I had to keep moving and didn't pay enough attention to the item at hand!
