Did you buy the Atals complete set? I would change the turnouts to Peco. It is a great start and gives you options in operating like passing track for slower locos. I added a lot of extras to the basic layout.

I laid my track on homosote and it holds the track very well. Did not solder the track and used the drops that came with the set. New drops were done with wired track connectors. Don R showed me how to make my own(real easy)

Lay your track out and wire a few drops and run the engines to make are the track is reliable.

Bad problems with Suoer Pretzel. Largest curve is 18 inch and you cannot operate large steam. I run 2-4-0 and usually take the front two trucks off as they hang up on the turnouts?

Good luck and my number is 337 3441925. Call anytime

Dirtytom I am building the Super Pretzel layout I just finished the bench work but extended it to 9x9. I'm about to start soon on laying the track I am wondering did you have any problems laying your track and is there any key areas I need to watch for. Thanks Brian

    DT,
I received the bridge Thrusday, looks better in person! As usual USPS managed to dislodge a couple of the cross braces underneath (go figure) easy fix!

    Thanks again,
    Paul

    DT,
Thanks for the pay it forward! I did just that on Saturday by giving my neighbors 2 yr. old Daughter(Dad) a starter set I had lying around! The look on her face was priceless! From what dad said it hasn't been shut off since!

    Thanks Again,
    Paul
