t-man, got a question about 258 & 1681 prewar motors. Are the basic motors the same, excluding the E-unit position, or spokes on wheels. I emailed TJ with same question, but no response yet. TJ offered one of his orphan 1681's, plus I picked up two more, but all need motors, and complete wheels, to replace some damaged ones. Am I correct about the basic motor being the same

I am familiar with the Woods to Goods store. I used to work at Lavalley Lumber in Wells and later Eldredge Lumber in York. I used to call them, not to their face, Goods from Hoods. I sent an email to the Model Train Shop but have not received a reply. Is it possible they are closed for the winter?
For some reason I did not receive notice of your response. Is there some place to look for responses? My email is rhfilion@gmail.com.

I live in Somersworth and just bought a layout. Am in the process of learning about DCC, cars, engines, track, wiring etc. Is there a club in this area where information is exchanged? I have a frame for a layout which is 4'X15' with an L which is 4'X5'. The track on it was so badly joined that I have taken it completely apart. To learn and play a bit I bought a 4'X8' sheet of Homasote which I have been learning on. The Homasote is easy to adhere track to. Any chance we could get together?

Hi !!!!! You changed the name of my thread I started. I completely understand why you did it. SORRY. However do you think you could add the word Expansion to the end of what you changed it to. Just so I could possibly get more replies along the lines of what Im looking for. Just a suggestion. Thank you for your time.

With the user control panel you upload the avatar. It has to be small or else it will not work around 90. It just will not upload if it is too large. I used paint to shrink it down until it worked.
