Hi Servoguy! A couple of months ago I got some good info. from you regarding fixing my Teledyne coupler problems on my Lionel #6250 Seaboard switcher. Well, I hate to admit that my understanding of some electricity basics is interfering with this fix. Although I think I've been able to trace wiring okay, I'm confused about the apparent need to ground wiring to the frame 3 times. When I got the engine, it worked okay, but did not have 3 wires grounding, two from couplers and one from the whistle relay. And I'm having a helluva time figuring out which of the four possible wiring posts on the relay to wire up to. I've tried several things, none of which are working. Do you have any suggestions re: the groundings or?? Really appreciate any thoughts.

Ok the problem I'm coming up with is the solder doesnt seem to want to bond. It will either stick to the iron, or stay on the lead of solder. Any suggestions? As far as I know my work area was clean
