I was so surprised that someone in the US is I to G & S! I'm a big fan myself. Do you see people performing it there? I also love Opera. If you ever get a chance to come to Europe try to get a visit in to Riga, Latvia. It's a small EU country on the Baltic coast. Cheap flights are easy to come by. The reason is that they have great Opera company and stage many Operas throughout the year, but the big thing is tickets are dirt cheap, I guess it's supported by the government. In the UK you'd maybe be looking at a couple of hundred dollars for the cheapest seats at the Royal Opera House. I went a few years ago and saw Verdi's Nabucco and it was fantastic. You can listen to recordings but there is nothing like being at a live performance.
    Anyway, hers the link:
We're very lucky in the UK having the D'Olyle Carte Opera Company who put on great performances of G & S.
