Link did not work for me either.
If you're painting a steam loco, (guessing from the 'big boy' comment) then a flat black works. To renumber the engine you need the proper decals, not paint.
i want to it look like big boy 4014 before it gets restored i plan on getting a athearn big boy 4014 and make it just like the restored one and
to run on my layout
Without looking for pix, i would assume you'd want greys, blacks, rust, etc to paint and weather the engine. Look for pix of the big boy on google and copy what you see.
Union Pacific 844...You need to edit your first post. You need to place a space between the word "kit" and the beginning of the link. That should correct the inability of us to see your link open up. The way it is, the web thinks the word "kit" is part of the link, and can't read it correctly.
UP 844, this part of the forum is for posting about model trains in print media, i.e., magazines, newspaper, etc... You can ask a moderator to move it to the Detailing section, to the General section, or to the Scale specific section (O, HO, etc,.).
