Prewar Lionel Standard Cat

Got some reading material today. Doyle's Second edition to Lionel Prewar Trains. It has more pictures than the first plus it was a real bargain. Bookstores are selling it at 32. Amazon came in under 6 with shipping.
I find it a good reference. Now I have info from 1900 to 1996.
I am not a fan of price guides they give a good indication of rarety and value though. I guess you just have to gage the information with todays market. Let's face it buying trains today is a buyers market.

LOL, maybe I should have looked at the date

Maybe I will stick to only buying trains in the summer, but I do not think that is going to happen
