the frame is definitely of the 1600 series cars. stakes look to be factory.
spot light is 820 style. did lionel ever produce a flat in the 1600 series?

1600 Series cars

Lionel never produced a specific "Flat Car" in the 1600 series of numbers. The frames of the 1600 series were all Black in color, but nothing of that series, (Box Car, Tank Car, Gondola) look like they could be used to create this spotlight car. The only single spotlight cars were the 620 and 2620. The 620 gets eliminated because of the Latch couplers, which would indicate it being the 2620 with the Box Couplers. The biggest issue is the color, that was used by Lionel as being RED on the 2620. Everything that I look at, besides the color issue, indicates that it has to be a 2620 Single spotlight car.

the frame is from the 1600 series. the light is from an 820.
compare the tank car to the spot light car. frame is the same.
the stakes appear to be factory.
this is a made up car. somebody put a 820 light on this 1600 style flat car.
