Time Flies

I haven't posted or even checked in in a long time. I have an excuse, though. I've been re-doing all of our original cardstock versions. When they first came out they were meant only as 'mock-up' or placeholders, and we didn't put a lot of time into them because our commitment was to provide scaled plans in all the popular scales, so that anyone could scratch build from plans, (not just HO scalers). Somewhere along the line more people started using the cardstock versions as permanent models, and we gradually became hooked on cardstock models. It's not just economics either, I can't explain the fascination of building a model out of paper! Here is an example of one of our new versions:

Now, after months of being glued to my computer, I can finally catch up on my social responsibilities!

I have about 2 dozen cardstock structures that my father brought back from England 43 years ago. They were fun to build, and most of them still look great after all this time.

You can spray them with a "fixatif" from an art supply or craft store and that will help to seal in the colors. Some people spray them after weathering to keep from smudging when handling.
