Trouble hooking up MRC dual XFMR.I replaced my two MRC XFMR's with a MRC780 ampac dual transformer common rail Atlas electrical controls. The system worked many times before. green slide switches. common rail. I do not know how to hookup the new dual action ampac780
the ampac780 works with one set of outputs.

does not work with two outputs. only one.

Thanks for responding to my question about a dual transformer It's a MRC IT has two control dials and 2 separate output terminals.
I'll have some more questions a little bit later. Thanks once again.

Wow. You have a very professional how to
build turnouts manual. Very clear and easy to follow.
The pictures clarify it nicely.

As one who did a lot of radio commercial writing in my
first career it is such a pleasure to see properly formed
sentences and the correct usage of words and
punctuation. I am amused at the writing that some of the guys
post on the Forum.

One suggestion I might make would be to include a note
when you begin the process of soldering rails to the ties
that you realize it will look like a short circuit is being
created and that will be taken car of later.
I was concerned as I read along about soldering the rails
to the ties while at the
same time I knew you would not do that. Is there a reason
to wait until final assembly to cut the tie strips? It would seem
easier to do before laying them on the base.

Could the point rails be used to power the frog as some
commercial turnouts do?

I would think several of our members would want to give
this a try. It looks like an enjoyable way to pass time.
In earlier years I would attempt it but my hand are so
shaky now I doubt I could get it done right.
