It dosent look bad at all. Your just focusing on it. They say the purple will fade over time. If really bothered you could repaint the whole thing. I think it looks good enough as is.

Additionally, you can add half peices of track to make the loops bigger if needed. And i would get some automatic switches. That way the dog bone would switch by itself. What switches do you have?
