My suggestion for a reliable and fairly cheap transformer, would be the 1033 transformer, which is rated at 90 Watts. I don't know if you use eBay, but the 1033 transformers are listed quite often....

As noted above, you bent the tab the wrong way. It goes thru slot on end wall, and the tab goes down, the gets twisted. You can try to try straighten out, very, very slowly, & a little at a time....

Bill, Nice little switcher you got there....LOL! I think a lot of us were expecting the “Layout”, not the Teaser you posted. The layout has to be big, to accommodate an engine that size.
