I painted outside in 40 degree weather and left them out for one hour. The dry air did the job. When inside they cured ok. The Krylon really has fumes when drying so the time outside did the trick....

The old gear engines are well worn. I keep the gears clean and use oil to get rid of squeaks. Grease is good for worm drive gears or some cases motors gears that run tight. Any lube will help.

Even though they are non polarized by looking at the cord there is a difference between the sides. One wire will have a raised bead they other is flat.
