hhmm .. if it broke, it was most likely one of those narrow 'scroll saw' blades , I find it unlikely that one of the wide [about one inch] blades would break ??

you can tighten up some of the clearances ... -sometimes- it reduces gear noise, somtimes not ... doesn't seem to be any consistency to it ..
