Thanx for the nice compliment, perhaps you might be able to help me answere a question. I'll post some more pictures here but no one so far ventures into the territory of how to really identify the vintage of the engine. I have spent some quality time searching all kinds of moseling sites but no one seems to know how Tenshono ID'd there line of hand made engines. One fellow here thought it might be a 1958-1963 version but could not narrow it down and this engines drivers groups are fix and both powered. There is also a circuit board and speaker/sound set up in the Tender, Aside from the Blue and Gold Oval logo in the cabin and on the under carrage of both engine and tender there is a stamped into the lower panel of the Engine Cabin a four digit sequence ( 1.01 ) the dot is behind the upper part of the first #1 in the sequence...is that a serial # ? In the other pictures you will see the ingraving on both chassis's what do you think that is? Maybe the person who owned this did the engraving? Your guess as good as mine. Thanks for checking it out...keep havin fun with railroading.
