So what about the restaurant service help that only get a little over $2 an hour because they get tips. If they now will be getting a living wage we won't have to tip them. I always tip 15 to 20%. I may eat out more. The meals will be cheaper if we don't have to tip.
As with so many things, this is a very complicated issues, and it doesn't lend itself to neat little rules. It's certainly not as simple as you want to make it.

Update On Tariffs.....

August 13, 2019

IMPORTANT TARIFF IMPACT UPDATE

Prices reverting to original MSRPs

Today, August 13, 2019, the USTR (Office of the United States Trade Representative) announced that toys, including model trains, are on List 4B. This means that Broadway Limited Imports' products will not be tariffed on September 1, as originally announced. Since we will not be incurring immediate additional costs of import, products will revert to their original pricing.

Items on list 4B are to be tariffed effective December 15, 2019, according to USTR. As this date draws closer, we will be in contact regarding any products that may incur the tariff at that time.

We at Broadway Limited Imports apologize for the confusion and inconvenience caused by these evolving measures. We know it is frustrating. Thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely,

--The BLI Team

I saw an article today that China has agreed to buy more from our farmers. They said that before and didn't do it. Can't trust the Chinese with anything they say.

They won't open their country to our companies but they want to ship everything here duty free.

They already own the biggest hog operation in this country. Farmland.

How much farmland have they bought up in Canada. ??

To be clear... a private company in Canada shipped their garbage to the Philippines, not the country of Canada.

It doesn't mater if it's the US, Canada or elsewhere. The problem is that we humans are creating massive amounts of trash that has to be disposed of.

But lets worry more about spending a few more dollars for our toys that will be thrown in the trash down the road by whoever ends up with them.

And if China sends in the military to squash the protest in Hong Kong there is no telling what will happen with manufacturing over there. Keep buying, China needs the dollars to keep building their military.

I don't believe I have ever seen any models of Chinese trains. Do the Chinese play with these toys they make for us....

There are no models for Chinese trains.
A search brings this one up which I've run into before. That's all I know.

But you are the one complaining about the price of your toys going up because he secretly loves china.

Number of employees

If the trains are made in Korea, why is there a price increase ?

And we have been subsidizing Korea since the 1950s

I'm not complaining....I just reported it, so don't shoot the messenger....

Besides, the tariffs have been rolled back, or haven't you read about that yet?

So, if you so against our trains being made in China, which, by the way, happens because The major model railroad manufacturers moved their production there, then give us an alternative....please tell us which ones are made here in N.America, and we'll buy them......
