In order for transformers to work together they have to be in phase. The only way to do that is rotate the plug in the socket.

he's right, i forgot about that part of them ...
you are not supposed to use polarized plugs on them ..
just ordinary two prong
it doesn't matter if you have only one transformer, i think ...???

The old PW Lionel plugs were not polarized. Of course, neither were the wall outlets!

I slid that one by the two toughest critics

Even though they are non polarized by looking at the cord there is a difference between the sides. One wire will have a raised bead they other is flat.

Pretty sure they're non-polarized, but if not, as stated, about 10 seconds with a file and they are all fixed.

Truthfully, when I put a new cord on one of these, I buy a $1 extension cord and lop the one end off.
