Anyone identify these weights/ballast

I found these in with my train cars. I think they nay be ballast for one of the rail cars. I thought maybe the old 717 log dump car, but they will not fit. Maybe one of the locomotives?

They are 4 1/2" long and 7/8" wide. Look familiar to anyone?

Scales Modeled: HO mainly, N, S, O, G
I don't think they are from any AF train. I will say they are car weights from Athearn
bluebox car kits. HO.

Never had any HO, but this could be a wild goose chase. Cannot recall where they came from, but they were packaged with the train cars.

Thanks guys.

It may be that someone just added them for weight in the cars?

In one old Post war O locomotive I bought I opened it and found fishing weights in one. Complete with a swivel hooked to it.

They were old lead weights, I put them in my tackle box.

You need to put those lead weights into a antique case.. We can't use them here in beautiful, Communist NY.
