Meanwhile, the Golden Gophers should get a spanking from Penn State tomorrow, ending their undefeated streak.

Of course, in 1999 an undefeated Penn State team got beat at home on a last second Hail Mary and 2 point conversion by an unremarkable Golden Gophers team, precipitating an end of season collapse that saw the Lions losing 3 of their last four and dropping out of national title contention.

Wow. Talk about prophetic. Penn State once again chokes against Minnesota. Their defense just wasn't in it for most of the game, and Clifford threw 3 INTs, all of them stopping good drives, and the last one costing Penn State the game (I'm not sure of the call on that one, but it's history now).

I just hope history doesn't completely repeat itself and see them have another late season collapse. And thanks to Micah Parsons for getting himself benched....

Goodby Penn State, congratulations Minnesota.

Buckeyes slaughter another helpless cupcake.

Saw the spread a few days ago, Buckeyes by 43.5 points. I thought, hmm, could be close. Nope, 59 point margin of victory. Rutgers is next.

The only reason Maryland & Rutgers were brought into the Big 10 was for the big dogs to pad their win column for bigger buck bowls at the end of the season.

Or maybe Rutgers and Maryland were hoping to improve their programs, and certainly revenues.

OTOH, this means Penn State will be looking for redemption on the 23rd. If they play (and are coached) like they did last Saturday, it ain't gonna happen, but if they bring their A game and the coaching staff can avoid dumb play calling, could be an interesting game.

Yep, I would guess Maryland and Rutgers are getting much bigger paydays in the Big Ten, not sure how the green backs are divided up between leaque members.

I remember when they were added to the Big Ten the grumbling around town was why not a Texas, Oklahoma, or Iowa State.

Yep, knocking off the Buckeyes will put them in the Big Ten Championship if they don't lose again.
