Using N-gauge throttle pack with HO train?

Can it be done. I have a throttle pack for an N scale setup that I bought before I noticed what it even was. Seems like they are pretty close in voltage output. Can I use this throttle pack for a dc ho train?

16VDC is pretty much standard for HO powerpacks, so it would work just fine.
