Amtrak Salutes Our Veterans

Meant to put this up yesterday. The nice engine that took us home. (and now you can buy one of these in HO...)

It's nice to see returning patriotism in the form of Veteran appreciation as well as a resurgence in flag and country pride.

I photographed that one on my trip to DC this year.

We flew in but I traipsed (with just a touch of trespass) around Union Station... https://chicagovalleyrailroad.blogsp...-at-union.html
... and photographed a bunch of stuff that was entirely unlike what I see here in Chicago.

Interestingly, 642 was also the number of one of Amtrak's ill-fated SDP40F locos.
