I found this at an estate sale and picked it up wondering what it was. It is made in Japan with a motor on top of the rear drive wheels that is connected by meshing gears. I’ve tried finding info on this but have come up with nothing. It’s brand new but no box , dang it. But is cool looking. I’ve tested it but it’s really noisy as probably because it’s been sitting for some time. I was wondering if anybody had any info on this piece. The manufacturer is Sugiama Seisakusho. The bottom is brass but the body is plastic. Any if would be appreciated pics included
ViperJim, congratulations on your purchase of a "Galloping Goose" railcar, one of seven built by Rio Grande and Southern for delivering mail and other light loads.
Thank you for the info but mine I believe is HOn30 as it is huge compared to my n scale PA1 but runs on n scale track. That's why I'm thinking it is n 30. That's what I'm trying to find info but can't find anything on the company except make small armatures when I do a search for the name.
