MRC accessory decoder programming

The directions from acces. decoder and base station are seemingly different. I have hooked it up according to diagram (with stupid resistors in place). Then it says to enter cv number on prog track (ok) then the address but you cannot get back to the address space without jumping back to main track. What address do they want- one place says 1 another says 515. Very confusing. Anyone have experience and willing to help?

You're going to have to be a lot clearer than that if you want help. What system are you using, what are you trying to program, what steps EXACTLY are you performing? And I'm not sure what you would be doing with resistors, stupid or otherwise. A decoder shouldn't need a resistor between it and the base station, although it might between the decoder and whatever is attached to it (but that wouldn't affect your ability to program the decoder).

For starters, though, each decoder needs its own address, which you assign. That's your first step.
