Fireside Chat

Here's a little video of some of my trains running by the fireplace... what I call a fireside chat. Turn it on and talk trains. Happy New Year to all my friends here on MTF!

Neat video, thanks for sharing. You need to get one of those Polar Express Bi-Polars for the passenger train.

Outside main is two large reverse loops with one in the den-formal living room and the other loop is contained in my library.

The inside main is a single direction loop only, but connected to the outside main by 4 O-72 switches in a crossover.

The 18 ft trolley line runs from the right side of the TV (just out of frame) and forms a large U. The other end terminates behind my couch and through my engine shed. The trolley pauses 15 seconds at each stop for passengers. Ya gotta be quick!

The trolley line is a seasonal line only. The rest of the layout is part of my home.

Nice video, friend! And as my NYC 783 chugs its way through a foul and snowy New Year's Eve night, I wish all my fellow passengers on this forum a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Does that still work if it's a gas fireplace?
