No coffee. I do not like coffee. When I want a hot beverage I have tea with a little milk. Usually I have a soft drink or an ice cold beer.

I am a train runner. I like watching the trains running though the various scenes on the layout. I have 5 industrial spurs on my layout but they are pretty much for staging freight cars. I rarely switch them and can't remember the last time I did.

I usually sit in this chair when I run trains.

I usually run 2 trains on the lower main and another on the upper main. The chair is on wheels so I can move around but usually sit where I can see most of the layout. These photos are taken from where I usually sit.

The lower main is one track with 2 trains running on it so I have to pay attention and occasionally adjust the speed of one of the trains to avoid a collision.

I have this stool on the other side of the layout and occasionally sit here to get a different view of the layout.

This is the view as I swivel around.

These are the 3 trains I am currently running.

And finally, this is the upper main. It's just a 4 x 7 1/2 foot oval.

I really enjoy watching a train exiting the tunnel while another is running above.

Joe: Looks like you've been busy installing fascia boards around your layout. Looking good.

Here's a couple of shots taken from where I sit to run trains. A small, 2-train operation so nothing spectacular.

Thanks Vern. Actually, I finished the fascia earlier this year but I often use older pictures rather than take new ones and many of the photos are before I had put the fascia up.

I always enjoy pictures of your layout. Your snow looks so realistic. I really like the Walmart.

Thank you, Joe.

I think fascia looks good on any layout, giving it that finished look as opposed to a roughed-in look.

Good post Lee. I agree, sometimes it's nice to just sit down and watch trains run.
