Wow, that looks like a wonderful ride! It'd be so cool to be able to go there and do the tour. I never knew Taiwan even had any railroads! Thanks for making us aware of it.

The Alishan line was once all Shay-powered - see pic. No. 18. Someone back maybe 10-15 years ago imported brass HOn3 models of the Shay. Note that the railway is actually 30 inch gauge so if Bachmann ever decided to do a new/different Shay, this would be true to prototype.
