I noticed that they sell 2 types of valve gears, one short and one not. How do I know what I need if mine are missing?

What vendor is selling two lengths of valve gear, and what are their part numbers?

The 1615 loco takes #1615-87 and #1615-88 valve gear available here.

Only one size shown.

Per Larry, there are two parts numbers, one for the left-hand and one the right-hand valve gear assemblies. Both are the same length but mirror images of each other.

As shown in Olsen's ...

I talked with Jeff from the Train Tender early on when I first started ordering parts, He strongly suggested getting a manual for parts description. It was worth the investment to get a manual and a few of the era guides for reference.
