Hello all, as I value your opinion , I have a question.

I have a (actually several) 1946 322, buttons and round linkage rivets. My problem is this. The reverse unit needed cleaning and the re-attachment of at least one wire. So, after removing it and cleaning out excess solder I broke the wire to the field (or whatever it is called) in the reverse unit.. My question is this. Should I pay 35 dollars plus shipping for a rebuilt/cleaned unit, or, should I spend the 50 dollars to get an electronic reverse unit?

If you want keep it original I probably have one that will work.It will need fingers and the drum cleaned but for $15 shipped it is an option.I can post a photo if interested.....
