I have a beautiful example of the 3356 Horse Car Corral and Car, that I am determined to use on my layout, and am in need of some assistance. The corral itself has two pivoting arms on it, that go under the outer rail of regular straight track, in order to keep correctly positioned relative to the car ramps. However, since it appears you need to use a UCS section to power the car, the arms cannot line up under the section of UCS track. Is there something I am missing? Does it NOT need a UCS track? TYIA!

Originally the horse car set came with an OTC power connector that had two metal clips that stuck up and connected to regular tube track. I had this set as a kid and I did not use this OTC piece that came with the set, but used the same remote control track you show in the picture. I never could get reliable operation from this car and corral. Currently have this car and corral just for nostalgia reasons, but have rarely used it as it is still not reliable for me. When I did run the set a few years back, I still used the remote control activation track you show.

Thanks for the help guys, that is why I love this forum. And here is what also came with the set, so it looks like I don't have to worry about using up one of my UCS track sections for this.

I think you need one of these.
This Page from Tandem Associates explains the setup. It uses an OTC contactor, not the control rail track.
