Got 4 or 5 pics done today of stuff in my gift box. Went to put my SD card in the laptop
I am using now. Bummer. No slot for a standard size SD card. Looks like one for a mini.
Somewhere I have a mini that takes a standard size SD card. I will have to find it. Its not in my
camera case. Here is what I took pics of. AF repair book by K-Line, A nice condition 9B transformer.
ManyCoolToys says he bought it new around 1970. He says it is working intermittently and he
thought the coil just needs cleaned. I have a 12B transformer and it is doing the same thing. I have
not opened it up. Took pics of 2 street lights. They look prewar to me. Tom may know who made them and about what year. They are very nice but a little large for Flyer. A diesel horn billboard. I did not have one. I have a couple steam billboards. And a nice truss bridge. I have 3 or 4 similar but this one is 6 to 8 inches longer. Will try to get the pics posted soon.

I keep two adapters handy on my desk. One has a USB-A plug, the other a USB-C plug. They have slots for all sizes of SD cards. Between Dell devices and Apple devices I have more adapters than I can keep track of.

Tom, will the Lionel app for a phone work on Legacy engines.? Still looking at the ES44AC.
A little harder since I won a few hundred today. Really don't need it but it is a nice engine.

Mopac, I assume you are referring to the iCab app. I think that costs $50. The app for the FlyerChief engines is free as is the LCS app for iPads. Unfortunately, to run an S gauge Legacy engine in Legacy mode a 990 base is required. That is because all the data is stored on the Base. The controller can be an iPhone, but to pair an iPhone with a 990 base a Wireless LCS module is needed plus an LCS power supply and an interconnecting cable. Recall I commented that unlike in O gauge, S gauge Legacy engines do not have Bluetooth. If they did, none of the other stuff would be required.

Older Lionchief remotes, can be paired to a universal remote, which can be paired to Bluetooth.

You could stick a Bluerail bluetooth board in the engine, or between the power supply and the track.

Im working on the latter, bluetooth track throttle.

I tried. Cannot get the adapter to work. $28.00, its going back. Its probably me.

Mopac, I do not know why the Vivitar adapter did not work. I always knew Vivitar to be a reliable and quality seller in the photography world.
Here is what I use for USB-C. The C specs allow for fast speed and high wattage charging. I found that some computers and my iPad would display an "inadequate power" message when something like a USB stick was plugged into a USC-C port and then not work. Note there is a "power in" port on the block. I use a separate 30W power brick to supply power to this adapter, then insert the SD card, USB stick, or even one of my 3TB Toshiba mass storage devices. The separate power supply cured all issues for me. I do not know if that was the problem in your case unfortunately.

Might I suggest using that phone to take photos, then emailing them to yourself. You could also just pull this forum page up on the phone, and post the photos that way.
